His father is believed to be Azeri. That's not true. His mother is Yazdi and father Talish. He doesn't have Turkish blood. However, I would like to comment on Southern Azerbaijan issue. Azerbaijanis living in Iran, are Turks. They always have been, and they will remain that way. They are not persian, they are not some kind of "iranian tribe", they are Turks. Oghuz Turks to be exact. Just like Turks in Turkmenistan, and Turks in Turkey. South Azerbaijan belongs to Azerbaijanis. North and South will re-unite very soon. Almost 200 years has passed since the persians and russians devided this beautiful Turkic country into two parts. But even 2 centuries were not enough to make us change, to seperate us from each other, to make us believe that we are not oghuz Turks. I don't hate the persians, after all, we are all humans and we are both muslims. But I do love my nation (Azerbaijan), and I would give everything I have to re-unite us all again. Inshallah, we will be together soon again. Menim milletim, menim qururum, menim qanim, menim canim Azerbaycanim. Boyuk Turklere halal olsun.

Historically, it's not Azerbaijan that belongs to Iran but rather Iran that belongs to Azerbaijan! Ccause the last (but not the least) was always a source of prominents and political power for Persia. If South & North unite they'll form much more logical, stable, democratic and stronger formation than modern Iran does. And the persians willn't stop them cause they are weaker and US willn't support them. Azerbaijan is the very core of the Middle East. Azeries, unite!
